Program

This CNRS school will offer an alternation of theoretical courses (approximately 1h30 for each module) to present the state of the art and the tools, and practical work on computer to allow the participants to familiarize themselves concretely with a certain number of tools on test data. Round tables will be organized after the evening meal to deepen certain questions according to the requests of the participants. For each of the questions presented as axes of the program, one or two tools will be put forward.

Thus, the program will be divided into several parts, each targeting a specific question:

1) Define and explain good practices in bioinformatics analysis of TEs

2) The annotation of TEs in assembled and unassembled genomes

3) Identification of the insertion polymorphism individuals / populations and a reference genome

4) Transcriptomic and epigenetic analyses of genes and TEs

5) To go further in understanding TEs: evolutionary analyses of TEs
